The Glasser Curator is an onsite, full-time salaried role in Tucson, AZ. Compensation is $55,000–$65,000 per year. The position reports to the Chief of Curatorial and Convergent Practice and supports the Tucson Museum of Art’s permanent collection, exhibitions, and community engagement. The curator develops research, exhibitions, and interpretive content focused on art of the American West, American art, and the permanent collection. Through collection stewardship, collaboration, and public-facing interpretation, the role advances inclusive museum experiences and supports the institution’s mission and strategic priorities.

What you'll do

• Research and steward the permanent collection
• advise staff, researchers, and the public
• contribute to collection policy and strategic collecting plans
• recommend conservation and collections-management practices
• develop exhibition strategies and calendars
• curate exhibitions and collection rotations
• create interpretive materials and publications
• support education and engagement partnerships
• coordinate multilingual interpretation
• contribute to budgets, grants, fundraising, and donor relationships
• serve as liaison to Western Art Patrons.
