Class A CDL Transport Driver

The Class A CDL Transport Driver role is an onsite field position based in San Antonio, TX, with compensation of $20–$26 per hour. The driver hauls construction equipment and materials between jobsites, yards, and vendor locations to support jobsite readiness through reliable, compliant deliveries. The role contributes to construction operations by safely transporting and securing heavy equipment and materials. It includes operating varied CDL vehicles, completing inspections and trip records, planning loads and routes, and coordinating pickups and drop-offs across project sites.

What you'll do

• Operate Class A CDL vehicles including tractor-trailers, lowboys, flatbeds, end dumps, belly dumps, water and fuel trucks
• drive on public roads and jobsites
• comply with DOT hours-of-service rules and documentation standards
• load and unload heavy equipment using ramps, winches, and securement tools
• secure loads with chains, straps, and binders
• plan loads and permitted routes
• conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections
• report mechanical issues and hazards
• maintain truck and trailer
• use GPS, tablets, and routing software
• track mileage, fuel, and trip logs
• submit delivery and inspection records
• coordinate pickups and drop-offs.
