Staff Turbomachinery Engineer

The Staff Turbomachinery Engineer position is hybrid, based in Berthoud, CO, with an expectation to work onsite two to three days per week. Compensation is $132,000–$165,000 per year. Ursa Major develops propulsion and defense systems for aerospace and national security applications. The engineer owns portions of turbopump technology and contributes to design, analysis, engine testing, and development across multiple engine platforms. The role helps refine turbomachinery designs for performance, reliability, manufacturability, and flight readiness.

What you'll do

• Support conceptual design and development of turbomachinery
• perform design trades, preliminary design, and analysis
• collaborate with the design team on detailed, manufacturable, flight-ready designs
• troubleshoot performance or reliability issues in existing turbomachinery within areas of expertise.
