The Teacher Assistant role is onsite in Philadelphia, PA, with pay of $17.50–$18.00 per hour. The position is part of SPIN’s Early Childhood Program, which supports children and adults and is rated Keystone Star 4. The role helps provide safe, developmentally appropriate care and learning experiences for preschool children. Working with the Lead Teacher, the assistant supports daily activities, classroom management, children’s daily living needs, and communication with families.

What you'll do

• Engage children in developmental activities and play
• supervise children and maintain their safety
• assist with diapering or restroom use, feeding, and dressing
• help facilitate developmentally appropriate activities
• maintain a clean, organized, and safe environment
• build rapport with families
• assist the Lead Teacher with curriculum and daily activity planning
• communicate about children’s care and classroom management.
