Drop Bury Technician

Job overview

The Drop Bury Technician role is onsite in Killeen, TX, with compensation of $23.50 per hour. USIC provides underground utility damage prevention and infrastructure services for utilities and municipalities. The technician locates and marks underground utilities, then uses those markings to bury coaxial and fiber-optic cable while documenting completed work. The role helps protect existing infrastructure and supports safe, compliant field operations.

What you'll do

• Drive a company vehicle to assigned outdoor sites
• read records, maps, and prints to locate underground facilities
• use locating equipment and procedures
• trench or bore cable lines
• record work using smartphone and software
• follow safety procedures
• photograph work and complete documentation
• check equipment and supplies
• coordinate with utility representatives, contractors, property owners, and teammates.
