Diet Aide

The Diet Aide position is onsite in Salem, MA. Compensation is not specified. The role supports the facility’s dietary service and works with its dietitian as needed. The Diet Aide helps prepare and distribute meals, maintain food service areas, and follow dietary, infection-control, and safety procedures so meals and supplies are ready for residents and other designated recipients.

What you'll do

• Work with the facility dietitian and implement recommended changes as required
• assist with meal service and portion control
• clean work tables, equipment, floors, and utensils
• set up meal trays, carts, and dining areas
• assist cooks with meal preparation
• distribute and collect menus
• obtain supplies
• check diet trays
• deliver food carts and trays
• prepare snacks
• maintain food storage areas
• and follow infection-control and universal precautions.
