The Asphalt Plant Operator role is onsite in North Charleston, SC, with work at Banks Construction’s North Charleston, Summerville, and Walterboro plants as needed. Compensation is not specified. The Asphalt Plant Division supports the company’s paving and construction operations by producing and preparing materials for projects throughout the Lowcountry. This role operates the asphalt plant and supports safe, accurate production and truck loading so crews and customers receive materials on time. Hours vary with production, project schedules, weather, and customer demand; day or night shifts and overtime may be needed.

What you'll do

• Operate plant controls
• load and scale trucks
• monitor production and material flow
• communicate with plant staff, crews, drivers, and customers
• track production and job information
• follow safety, quality, and environmental procedures
• troubleshoot and report plant issues
• support general facility tasks.
