What you'll do

• Collect blood and other specimens
• identify, label, and send specimens for analysis
• document medication dosages when appropriate
• perform routine laboratory procedures and tests in hematology, chemistry, microbiology, urinalysis, and serology as qualified
• maintain quality-control, calibration, and maintenance records
• follow procedures when test systems are outside acceptable performance levels
• identify issues that may affect results and correct them or notify a supervisor.
