What you'll do

• Select cables, ropes, pulleys, winches, blocks, and sheaves based on load weight and size
• attach rigging to structures and crane hooks
• direct equipment operators during hoisting
• communicate safety directions to workers and material handlers
• set up and brace hoisting equipment
• splice rope and wire to repair slings and tackles
• perform additional assignments as directed.
