Director of Facilities Operations

The Director of Facilities Operations role is onsite in Smithfield, RI. Compensation is $101,000–$130,000 per year. The director reports to the District Manager and oversees facilities services for academic, administrative, and off-site campus buildings, including budget and team performance. The director leads facilities operations to maintain safe, efficient buildings and deliver customer satisfaction. The role combines facilities expertise and leadership across maintenance, planning, construction and renovation, energy management, grounds, landscaping, and custodial services, while managing staff and client relationships.

What you'll do

• Manage facilities budgets, budget reporting, and capital expenditure planning
• oversee day-to-day operations and team performance
• direct preventive maintenance and reactive repairs across skilled trades including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and utilities
• lead short- and long-range planning, construction and renovation projects, energy management, grounds, landscaping, and janitorial services
• hire, train, and supervise staff
• maintain client relationships and support customer satisfaction.
