Building Information Modeling Technician

The Building Information Modeling (BIM) Technician is an onsite, full-time role in Austin, TX, with a Monday–Friday schedule from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Compensation is not specified. MMR provides instrumentation and electrical construction, maintenance, and technical services across multiple industries. The technician develops and coordinates electrical and related construction models and drawings so project teams can resolve conflicts and build modeled work accurately. The role works with project management, site foremen, and other trades to support constructible designs and accurate as-built records.

What you'll do

• Create coordination models, shop drawings, and as-builts
• assist with system design and model content
• prepare wiring and equipment sketches
• apply National Electrical Code knowledge
• review contract documents and construction drawings
• coordinate drawings with other trades
• support issue resolution through the RFI process
• conduct site surveys and field measurements as needed
• review submittals
• maintain drawing and RFI logs
• work with point clouds and survey points.
