The Pharmacy Assistant role is an onsite, full-time position in Santa Cruz, CA, paying $20.25–$24 per hour. Pacific & Santa Cruz Veterinary Specialists supports veterinary medical teams in providing care to pets and support to their owners. The assistant helps keep medications and supplies organized and available for patient care. The role supports pharmacy workflows and also assists with patient handling, clinical tasks, records, and client communication as directed by veterinary professionals.

What you'll do

• Maintain medication inventory and organize and stock supplies
• assist with medication preparation and dispensing workflows under appropriate supervision
• monitor expiration dates
• greet patients and owners and obtain weights and vital signs
• assist with treatments, medication administration, and restraint as directed
• perform laboratory tests and radiographs
• maintain records and equipment
• support patient care, client communication, and hospital cleanliness.

Why this role
