Cross Country Coach

Job overview

The Cross Country Coach role is onsite in Elk Grove, CA, with pay of $40–$60 per hour. Impact Kids provides enrichment programs at public and private schools, including before-, during-, and after-school programs where students can develop, learn, and play. The coach supervises students and teaches running and cross-country skills in a safe, inclusive setting. Through age-appropriate instruction, workouts, and feedback, the role supports students’ endurance, confidence, fitness, and development.

What you'll do

• Provide daily running and cross-country instruction to students ages 4–14
• teach running form, warm-ups, stretching, pacing, and breathing
• lead age-appropriate workouts, games, relays, and time trials
• assess performance and track progress
• plan and supervise safe routes
• monitor weather, heat, and hydration
• supervise groups and support student safety and development
• prepare daily plans
• collaborate with Activity Specialists and serve as a positive role model.
