The Direct Support Professional (Caregiver) role is onsite, with service coverage across Orange, Osceola, Seminole, Polk, Lake, Hernando, Highlands, and Marion counties in Florida. The professional provides individualized assistance with daily living and implements outcomes in each person’s Support Plan. The role also promotes community participation, documents services, and communicates with the supported living coach and other staff to support each consumer’s needs and goals.
What you'll do
- Assist with daily living skills, including lifting, transfers, toileting, hygiene, laundry, and meal preparation
- promote community integration and social interaction
- implement Support Plan outcomes
- complete assigned documentation
- administer and record medications when applicable and in accordance with requirements
- accompany residents to medical appointments when needed
- maintain living environments to applicable standards
- provide transportation as needed
- communicate with the supported living coach and staff
- assist with recreation, cultural activities, vacations, and shopping.
