Service Technician, Building Automation Systems

Job overview

The Service Technician role is onsite in Nashville, TN. Compensation is $28–$50 per hour. The position supports the Service department at Hoffman Building Technologies, maintaining building automation and HVAC control systems for customers. The technician keeps building control systems operating through preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, and DDC controls startup or programming as required. The role also documents system performance and coordinates with customers, electrical installers, and internal service and operations contacts.

What you'll do

• Perform preventive maintenance, including database backups, control-system and network analysis, optimization, central equipment controls performance testing, and customer training
• execute quoted service projects
• troubleshoot DDC controls and mechanical systems
• replace failed components as needed
• communicate with supervisors, service coordinators, account managers, and customers
• participate in scheduled on-call coverage.
