Assistant City Engineer

The role assists the City Engineer with managing the Engineering Division and helps deliver compliant, coordinated infrastructure and public works projects that serve residents and businesses.

What you'll do

• Assist with planning and managing the Engineering Division
• review development plans and maintain engineering standards
• evaluate traffic, stormwater, utility, and environmental impacts
• coordinate reviews with departments, utility providers, and agencies
• provide technical guidance and supervise paraprofessional staff
• inspect construction projects
• support project design, budgeting, schedules, and delivery
• represent the division at public meetings and respond to citizen inquiries.
