What you'll do

• Prepare patients for treatment and help them feel comfortable
• collect health histories and maintain dental records and charts
• review treatment and payment options
• sterilize instruments and prepare dental materials
• take dental X-rays under applicable state licensure
• assist dentists and hygienists during treatment
• monitor and record vital indicators
• educate patients about post-procedure care and oral hygiene
• prepare treatment rooms and laboratories
• disinfect equipment according to applicable guidelines.
