Mission Hospital McDowell is a community hospital serving McDowell, Burke and Rutherford counties. The Multi-Modality Imaging Technologist is responsible for performing invasive and non-invasive procedures on a variety of patients, utilizing complex imaging equipment and assisting physicians as necessary. This role requires proficiency in at least two qualifying modalities to meet departmental needs.

What you'll do

• Perform invasive and non-invasive procedures on a variety of patients per the needs of the modality/department.
• Utilize sterile techniques, if necessary.
• Operate complex imaging equipment and assist physicians as necessary.
• Function without constant supervision to produce superior quality imaging studies.
• Routinely work within a minimum of two qualifying modalities as directed by department managers/supervisors to meet the specific needs of the department.
• Perform all duties relating to the specific primary and post primary imaging modalities in which they are working, including Diagnostic, CT, MRI, Nuclear Medicine, and Ultrasound.
• Mammography & Bone Densitometry.

What we're looking for

Education

Graduate of an accredited Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JCERT) program.

Experience

Previous experience in a multi-disciplined Radiology Department.
