Direct Support Professional (Float)

The Direct Support Professional (Float) role is onsite in the Hermitage, PA area, with coverage at designated residential locations in the assigned region. Compensation is $20 per hour, and the posting also offers a $2,000 sign-on bonus. Verland provides individualized support to people with complex physical, medical, and intellectual challenges. The float professional fills staffing needs across assigned residential sites and supports residents’ daily living, skill development, health, and participation in home and community activities while following individual support plans.

What you'll do

• Provide individualized resident support
• encourage skill development through active treatment
• implement programs and record observations and progress notes
• participate in social, home, and recreational activities
• assist with meals, cleaning, laundry, personal hygiene, and medication administration
• transport clients to appointments and activities in Verland vehicles
• provide coverage at assigned regional locations.

Why this role

At least 32 hours per week and three weekend shifts per month are required. Travel between assigned locations and flexible scheduling are required. Experience is not required; two weeks of paid training is provided.
