What you'll do

• Respond to service calls and emergency incidents within the facility using department procedures
• operate fire apparatus and equipment or other means as necessary
• inspect, test, and maintain fire extinguishers and fire-protection systems
• act in a security role in a department-issued response vehicle if assigned
• and maintain required emergency medical services, firefighting, and hazardous-materials response certifications. Work involves rotating 12-hour shifts, including some Saturdays and Sundays. Requires a high school diploma or GED, valid driver's license, state or national basic EMT license, and Firefighter I certification or equivalent.
