Under a Registered Nurse’s direction, the nursing assistant provides basic direct and indirect care, monitors and reports patient information, and assists with daily living needs and routine care. What you'll do

• Observe, record, and report patient information
• measure and document vital signs for stable patients as assigned
• assist with activities of daily living, hygiene, nutrition, and elimination
• maintain a clean, orderly, and safe environment
• communicate patient status changes to the RN
• orient patients and families
• respond to alarms and emergencies
• transport patients as needed
• use the electronic health record
• provide sitter duties when needed.
