The Mid-Level Cloud Data Architect role is onsite in Annapolis Junction, MD. The annual base salary range is $139,000–$164,000. The role supports Nyla Technology Solutions’ U.S. Government artificial intelligence, data science, and software engineering work for defense and intelligence missions. The position provides database engineering expertise across early software lifecycle stages, translating requirements into data structures, models, parsers, loading mechanisms, and acceptance tests. It helps deliver secure, performant data storage and retrieval capabilities for mission customers.

What you'll do

• Design, develop, and implement relational and object-oriented databases
• perform logical and physical data modeling
• translate requirements into schemas and acceptance tests
• develop custom parsers, ETL scripts, macros, and automated loading software
• write SQL queries, scripts, and stored procedures
• analyze performance trade-offs involving data volume, concurrency, security, and response times
• use cloud storage and database technologies and ODBC.
