Toolroom Machinist, Tooling & Fixtures

The Toolroom Machinist, Tooling & Fixtures role is onsite in Mentor, OH. Compensation is based on experience; the posting does not state a numeric pay range. The role supports Alloy Precision Technologies production operations and reports to the Tool Room Supervisor.

What you'll do

• Set up and operate engine lathes, mills, grinders, and related equipment
• produce and repair tooling, fixtures, and die-related components
• select materials, speeds, and feeds
• interpret blueprints and turn concepts or sketches into finished parts
• verify quality with gauges and a comparator
• support basic production machining and CNC production machining as needed
• recommend tooling and fixture improvements
• and assist others with safe equipment operation.

Why this role

High school diploma required; basic machining knowledge and one year of production experience or vocational training preferred. First shift is Monday–Friday, 7:00 a.m.–3:30 p.m.; second shift is Monday–Thursday, 3:15 p.m.–1:45 a.m., with a 10% premium added to base rate. Overtime may be available on Saturdays or Fridays and Saturdays, depending on shift.
