Plastics Extrusion Operator

The Plastics Extrusion Operator role is onsite in Centralia, WA, with pay of $22–$32 per hour. The position is with American Workforce Group’s partner, a polyethylene film and flexible packaging manufacturer serving clients across North America. The operator sets up, runs, monitors, and adjusts extrusion lines to produce film that meets quality tolerances. The role supports reliable production by managing changeovers, troubleshooting process issues, documenting results, and minimizing scrap and downtime.

What you'll do

• Set up, operate, monitor, and adjust polyethylene film extrusion lines and winding equipment
• calibrate process parameters
• perform dimensional, visual, and physical quality inspections and record results
• execute product changeovers, resin-feed adjustments, and screen changes
• troubleshoot process variations with supervisors and maintenance
• maintain production, scrap, and downtime records
• keep the work center organized and follow safety, LOTO, and PPE requirements.
