Senior Test Engineering Specialist

The Senior Test Engineering Specialist role is onsite in Bethesda, MD, at least four days per week. Compensation is not specified. The role supports verification and validation of Telesat Lightspeed, Telesat’s planned low-Earth-orbit satellite network. The specialist develops verification matrices and designs and executes tests of satellite feeder and user links. Hands-on lab testing and coordination with antenna vendors, modem teams, RF engineers, and other system segments help verify technical, functional, performance, and business requirements.

What you'll do

• Develop verification matrices for feeder and user link requirements
• design and execute link coverage, spectrum assignment, fading, interference, and outage tests
• perform link testing in the LEO Lab
• configure and operate satellite link emulators and RF test equipment
• support over-the-air test planning and system acceptance planning
• collaborate with vendors and engineering teams.
