The Early Childhood Education Lead Teacher role is onsite in Wilmington, DE. Compensation is $20.00–$24.00 per hour. The role supports the YMCA of Delaware’s Early Learning Academy and its promise to help youth and families thrive. The teacher supervises children and classroom activities, provides daily care, and plans age-appropriate learning experiences. The role supports children’s development and builds collaborative relationships with families, coworkers, and branch administration.

What you'll do

• Supervise children, the classroom, and assigned activities using safe, healthy, developmentally appropriate practices
• provide daily care including diapering, toileting, and feeding
• support children’s social and emotional needs
• plan and participate in age-appropriate activities
• use positive behavior management
• observe and document children’s progress
• communicate with coworkers, administration, and parents
• maintain a clean, safe facility and required program documentation
• attend family nights, program activities, staff meetings, and professional development.
