Heavy Equipment Shop Technician (Mechanic)

The Heavy Equipment Shop Technician (Mechanic) role is onsite in Cape Girardeau, MO, with pay of $26–$28 per hour. The schedule is Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–5:00 PM, with overtime pay after 40 hours; the role is subject to on-call scheduling with additional compensation. The technician works at EquipmentShare’s rental facility and supports maintenance and repair of customer- and company-owned equipment. The technician diagnoses and repairs mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems to keep rental and customer equipment operating safely. The role uses digital work orders and service data, documents completed work, supports parts and equipment movement, and may assist with training lower-level technicians.

What you'll do

• Practice safe equipment repair
• use laptops and tablets
• maintain and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems on rental and customer equipment and tools
• assist with training lower-level technicians as needed
• document work orders completely and promptly
• assist with equipment and parts pickup and delivery
• follow OSHA requirements where applicable
• participate in company-provided OEM training
• complete other assigned duties.
