The role exists to provide total, continuous nursing care through the nursing process of assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation. What you'll do

• Direct and coordinate nursing care, including oversight of licensed and unlicensed personnel.
• Coordinate involvement of the patient, family, and health team members in patient care, including teaching and discharge planning.
• Communicate and coordinate the plan of care.
• Assist leadership to define standards of excellence for patient care.
• Participate in performance improvement and quality activities.
• Participate in orientation of new staff.
• Act as a point of contact on hospital policies.
• Participate in daily operational activities for a safe environment.
• Provide input to the Nurse Manager regarding unit needs.
• Participate in committees for policy formulation.
• Complete physical assessments and identify potential clinical issues and emergent situations.
