The Large Loss Restoration Estimator is a full-time onsite role in Lansing, MI, with compensation of $100,000–$120,000 per year. The role joins a growing restoration team handling commercial, industrial, institutional, and complex residential loss projects. The estimator develops and manages project estimates from inspection and scoping through negotiation and handoff to operations. Accurate scopes, budgets, and documentation help projects meet safety, schedule, quality, and profitability expectations.

What you'll do

• Prepare estimates for large restoration projects
• develop scopes using Xactimate and Xactimate Sketch
• inspect fire, water, storm, mold, environmental, and catastrophic damage
• create floor plans and supporting documentation
• review scope and negotiate with owners, insurers, consultants, engineers, and TPAs
• manage multiple projects, budgets, and schedules
• prepare revisions, supplements, and change orders
• review subcontractor proposals and pricing
• coordinate with project managers and operations
• identify cost overruns
• ensure code and industry-standard compliance
• identify environmental hazards
• maintain client relationships and complete project documentation
• assist with emergency response when required.
