Art Teacher

Job overview

The Art Teacher role is onsite in Sarasota, FL, with a Monday–Friday schedule from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. Pay is $15 per hour. The Boys & Girls Clubs of Sarasota and DeSoto Counties works to positively affect young people in the community. The teacher plans and supervises art activities that support youths’ learning and academic success. The role encourages creativity, self-expression, critical thinking, and problem-solving while maintaining the club’s art program and its records.

What you'll do

• Maintain and operate the art program according to the organization’s arts-program standards
• promote participation
• develop, plan, and deliver youth-development activities consistent with program goals
• maintain program and individual records
• submit plans and programs for final approval
• mentor and inspire youth and collaborate with staff.
