Controls Technician

The Controls Technician role is onsite in Greensboro, NC; compensation is not specified. The position supports Hoffman Building Technologies’ commissioning of direct digital control (DDC) systems. The role exists to start up and commission DDC projects and verify that systems operate as designed. It coordinates field installation, programming changes, project documentation, and closeout so project teams can deliver work to requirements and deadlines.

What you'll do

• Organize DDC project commissioning
• assist with onsite performance verification alongside an HBT engineer
• direct electrical subcontractors on installation priorities and methods
• update wiring diagrams, sequences, programs, displays, and commissioning sheets
• coordinate start-up, modifications, corrections, and project turnover
• communicate progress and schedule changes
• review labor cost reports as needed
• maintain technical knowledge and support team training.
