The Project Chief Engineer, Automotive Fuel Systems role is onsite in Auburn Hills, MI. Compensation is $61.50 per hour. The position coordinates fuel-system engineering across vehicle programs and functional teams. The engineer leads fuel-system responsibilities through the vehicle program lifecycle, aligning system performance and functional requirements with cost, weight, investment, timing, and quality objectives. The role coordinates technical issue resolution and supports program delivery from concept through production and maintenance.

What you'll do

• Lead fuel-system work through the production lifecycle, including concept studies, packaging, thermal design, cost and weight analysis, prototype procurement, supplier management, sourcing, tooling kickoff, validation, launch, change management, value optimization, and quality improvement
• coordinate engineering and quality issue resolution across functions
• support plant activities
• manage suppliers and program milestones.
