Food Safety and Quality Assurance Specialist

The Food Safety and Quality Assurance Specialist role is onsite in Charter Township of Clinton, MI. Compensation is not specified. The specialist supports the Quality, Safety, and Compliance team by maintaining food safety documentation, assessing suppliers and materials, and helping ensure regulatory compliance for the company’s natural food products. The work also supports customer and public inquiries and food quality issue resolution.

What you'll do

• Maintain documentation, SOPs, and TraceGains data for food quality, safety, and food defense programs
• support relationships with suppliers, certifiers, auditors, customers, and government agencies
• assess suppliers, ingredients, food-contact surfaces, and packaging
• maintain regulatory documentation for imported and exported items
• prepare product quality documentation
• assist with customer quality issues, label reviews, and regulatory submissions
• travel to supplier facilities for inspections.
