Compliance Specialist, Human Resources Services

Job overview

The Compliance Specialist, Human Resources Services role is hybrid in Austin, TX; compensation is $21–$25 per hour. Moss Consulting’s HR Services team supports clients with state and federal compliance requirements. The specialist owns assigned registration, documentation, insurance, and reporting processes from research through completion, coordinating with clients, agencies, brokers, and other parties. The role also monitors regulatory changes and helps keep internal resources and client processes current.

What you'll do

• Research and complete state and local business, employer, tax, and payroll registrations
• determine applicable requirements
• prepare, submit, and track applications and deadlines
• follow up with agencies and clients
• maintain third-party administrator access and reporting
• identify and escalate compliance risks
• monitor regulatory changes
• request and maintain certificates of insurance, endorsements, and bonds
• support controlled insurance program enrollment, audits, payroll reporting, and closeout
• maintain compliance calendars and records
• support workers’ compensation, unemployment, payroll tax, prevailing wage, and certified payroll requirements
• communicate status and next steps to stakeholders.
