The position supports HOLT CAT customers by installing and servicing telematics products on heavy construction equipment. The technician installs, repairs, upgrades, calibrates, and troubleshoots telematics devices and related machine electronics in the field, and trains customers on the products. The role helps keep equipment technology functioning safely and reliably and may require up to 100% travel, including overnight stays up to 20%.

What you'll do

• Install telematics devices using hand tools and wiring diagrams
• splice and build wiring harnesses
• configure PCs and update flash files
• repair devices and confirm firmware
• upgrade or replace components
• flash machine or attachment ECM firmware
• troubleshoot and test telematics components
• follow safety policies and procedures.
