Machinist — Mold Shop

The Machinist role is onsite in North Canton, OH. Compensation is not specified. Reporting to the Mold Shop Supervisor, the machinist makes and repairs molds used for injection or compression molding of rubber and plastic products or molding machines. The machinist programs and operates machine tools, fits and assembles mold components, and checks finished work against drawings and specifications. The role supports mold-shop production and repair through accurate machining, safe equipment operation, and orderly work practices.

What you'll do

• Program and operate CNC machines using Gibbs Cam or Surfcam
• review setup sheets and specifications
• maintain and change cutting tools
• design and build fixtures
• use precision measurement equipment
• set up and operate lathes, milling machines, EDM, boring machines, drill presses, band saws, and grinders
• assemble and disassemble molds
• finish components
• operate overhead cranes and other lifting equipment
• follow safety rules and maintain an orderly work area.
