Field Network Technician

The technician assesses, designs, deploys, and supports customer network infrastructure, including Wi-Fi and IP networks. The role combines field installation and troubleshooting with customer support, documentation, and coordination with the engineering team to meet project objectives and service-level agreements.

What you'll do

• Assess, evaluate, develop, and deploy network solutions
• conduct site surveys and prepare cable-run information, network designs, installation plans, and bills of materials
• install, test, and terminate structured cabling and network devices
• manage power wiring and hardware
• troubleshoot customer data networks
• manage and deliver equipment to customer sites
• resolve customer and vendor issues
• document support work and escalate as needed
• create customer documentation
• support engineering deployments and issue resolution onsite
• use wireless survey and mapping tools to design and document Wi-Fi deployments
• create predictive wireless designs, RF coverage maps, and capacity plans
• maintain equipment, tools, vehicles, and trailers
• comply with safety, security, and documentation requirements.

Why this role

Approximately 50% overnight travel within the United States, including out-of-town job-site stays. Flexible Monday–Friday hours between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM CST; work outside normal business hours may be required.
