The Special Procedures Registered Nurse (RN) role is onsite in Abilene, TX, with an hourly pay range of $35.16–$54.83. The nurse supports invasive cardiac, vascular, and interventional procedures. The RN assists with complex procedures while maintaining patient safety and providing care from transport and preparation through monitoring and post-procedure hemostasis. The role also supports emergent cases, sedation administration, accurate documentation, and communication with the interdisciplinary team. The posting requires call shifts, approximately 8–10 call days per four-week schedule, with residence within a 30-minute response window.
What you'll do
- Assist with cardiac catheterizations, coronary interventions, electrophysiology device and ablation therapies, interventional radiology, neuro diagnostics and interventions, endovascular procedures, and structural heart cases
- transport and prepare patients
- set up sterile procedures
- monitor patients
- manage hemostasis after catheter or sheath removal
- respond to emergent cases
- administer and mix sedation medications
- document care and prepare tests for physician interpretation
- use SBAR hand-offs.

Benefits & perks

Why this role
Requires an active RN license in Alaska or the ability to obtain one before starting, an associate degree in nursing, BLS/BCLS and ACLS, and either 2–3 years of Cath Lab/Special Procedures experience or five years of high-acuity ICU/CCU experience.
