The Assistant Director, Childcare Center role is an onsite, part-time position in Decatur, GA, paying $16–$17 per hour. The role helps center leadership maintain safe, developmentally appropriate care by supporting teachers, coordinating classroom coverage, assisting with compliance and records, and communicating with families and staff. It also provides operational support when the Center Director is absent.

What you'll do

• Assist the Center Director with daily operations and administrative work
• guide and support teachers and childcare staff
• help coordinate schedules and classroom coverage to maintain teacher-to-child ratios
• support licensing, health, and safety compliance
• assist with onboarding, training, coaching, and professional development
• monitor classrooms and support routines
• communicate with families and staff
• maintain child, staff, attendance, licensing, and operational records
• assist with enrollment and tours
• provide classroom coverage and help oversee operations in the Director’s absence.

Why this role
