The CDL Driver is an onsite role based in Richmond, VA. Compensation is not specified for this position, which supports the distribution operations of UMI / Opustone. This role is responsible for the safe operation of heavy-load trucks, including pre-trip inspections, loading and securing materials, delivering goods to customers, and managing all associated delivery documentation.

What you'll do

• Safely operate a heavy-load truck.
• Ensure all material is properly secured at the beginning of the shift and continuously monitor after each delivery.
• Ensure that all customer supporting paperwork is completed and returned at the end of each shift.
• Collect, document, and properly secure money received to ensure alignment with customer paperwork.
• Report any issues or incidents related to material damage or customer matters to dispatch.
• Perform the daily truck inspection, pre- and post-trip (DVIR).
• Seek advice and guidance on non-routine or problem areas from supervisor.
• Perform and document inspections to ensure truck and equipment are kept in good condition.
