Dietary Aide

Job overview

The Dietary Aide role is onsite in Palatine, IL, with pay of $16–$18 per hour. Compensation is listed at $16–$18 per hour. The aide supports the facility’s Dietary Department under the Dietary Manager, or the Cook when the manager is absent. The role helps provide meals and snacks to residents while maintaining clean, sanitary work areas and following long-term-care regulations and department procedures. It also supports meal preparation, tray service, dishwashing, supply handling, and safe facility operations.

What you'll do

• Assist the cook with meal preparation and service
• meet scheduled meal and snack times
• arrange tray cards, load food carts, serve residents, and set up the dining room
• wash and store dishes
• follow cleaning schedules, infection-control policies, and long-term-care regulations
• assist with receiving and storing food supplies
• report equipment, supply, safety, and facility concerns
• follow emergency procedures and maintain resident dignity and confidentiality.
