Library Assistant

Job overview

The Library Assistant role is onsite in Virginia Beach, VA; pay is $19 per hour. The position supports the A.R.E. Library, a campus destination for studying wellness concepts in Edgar Cayce material and wisdom traditions from around the world. The assistant provides reference and circulation services, supports collection development, and helps create and present programs that connect patrons with library resources.

What you'll do

• Handle patron requests and circulation desk calls
• provide basic reference and technology support
• assist with digital services
• process payments
• register patrons and maintain records
• shelve and circulate materials
• assist with public programs and displays
• recommend and process acquisitions
• perform minor repairs to library items.
