Maintenance Technician

Job overview

The Maintenance Technician role is onsite in Chicago, IL; pay is $25–$29 per hour. The technician supports apartment and community property operations for Hyde Park Owner LLC. The role keeps occupied and vacant apartments, common areas, building systems, and grounds in serviceable condition. Timely repairs and preventive maintenance support resident needs, leasing readiness, safety, and property operations.

What you'll do

• Complete service requests in occupied apartments
• maintain hallways and community rooms
• prepare vacant apartments for leasing
• perform glass, paint, carpentry, basic electrical, appliance, plumbing, and HVAC repairs
• maintain exterior and common-area lighting
• remove ice and snow as needed
• perform grounds duties and preventive maintenance
• complete work required by municipalities and inspectors
• provide after-hours on-call service for designated emergencies and customer convenience issues
• work overtime when needed.

Why this role

Requires lifting up to 50 pounds and climbing ladders. EPA Refrigerant Recovery Certification is preferred or may be obtained. After-hours on-call service is part of the role.
