Software Data Engineer

Job overview

The Software Data Engineer role is hybrid in Charlotte, NC, with three days onsite per week. Compensation is $52–$57 per hour. The role supports development of a strategic data platform in a large financial services environment. The engineer contributes to the platform’s initial reference-data system for securities and pricing data, with expansion to additional data domains planned. The work uses Azure cloud technologies and established internal development standards to advance the organization’s data-platform agenda.

What you'll do

• Develop a strategic data platform and reference-data system for securities and pricing data
• implement solutions using Azure Cloud Services, Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake Gen2, Azure databases, Azure Data Fabric, API gateway management, and Azure Functions
• use Azure Databricks, Python/PySpark, SQL, and FastAPI or similar frameworks
• work with RDBMS or NoSQL databases
• follow DevOps practices using Git, Jenkins, and CI/CD
• apply ETL/ELT processes.
