Employment Attorney

The Employment Attorney role is onsite in downtown Los Angeles, California. Compensation is $125,000–$175,000 per year, plus commission and bonus. The attorney joins West Coast Trial Lawyers’ Employment Law Department. The attorney manages employment litigation from inception through resolution, representing clients in matters including wage and hour disputes, wrongful termination, discrimination, harassment, and retaliation. The role advances cases through strategy, discovery, motion practice, depositions, court appearances, trials, arbitrations, mediation, and settlement.

What you'll do

• Manage complex employment litigation cases
• conduct and defend depositions
• appear in court
• prepare for and handle trials and arbitrations
• oversee and contribute to motion practice
• mentor junior attorneys and support staff
• develop case strategy with partners
• conduct legal research and writing
• draft and review pleadings, discovery, and correspondence
• communicate with clients, co-counsel, opposing counsel, and courts.
