Electrical Engineer, Data Center Infrastructure

The Electrical Engineer role is onsite in Oak Ridge, TN, with compensation of $135,000–$170,000 per year. The position supports Oak Ridge National Laboratory electrical infrastructure projects, including high-performance computing facilities that serve scientific research and national security missions. This engineer provides electrical design and project support for facility modifications, tenant improvements, and laboratory upgrades. The role coordinates with technical experts and construction teams to help ensure installations meet user requirements, applicable codes, and safety and quality standards.

What you'll do

• Oversee and perform electrical design for high-performance computing facility modifications, tenant improvements, laboratory and office modifications
• coordinate with telecommunications, utility, automation, and other disciplines
• review facility changes and upgrades
• support operations and construction subcontractors
• inspect electrical and telecommunications installations
• ensure designs and construction meet requirements, codes, DOE orders, and laboratory safety and quality standards.
