Caregiver / Direct Support Staff

Job overview

The Caregiver / Direct Support Staff role is part-time and in person in clients’ homes and communities in the Stockton, Lathrop, Tracy, and Lodi areas of California. The posting states pay of $18 per hour. Feel At Home Support Services supports adults with developmental disabilities to live independently and participate in their communities. The role provides one-to-one assistance that helps participants pursue goals in their individual plans, build daily living and social skills, and access community resources. Caregivers support safety, self-determination, and meaningful participation while documenting services and communicating with the participant’s support network.

What you'll do

• Provide one-to-one support in clients’ homes and communities
• assist with daily living skills, transportation, community integration, self-advocacy, and social skills
• help participants access appointments, benefits, and resources
• encourage goal setting
• complete shift notes, service-hour records, and incident reports
• communicate with supervisors, Regional Center staff, and families
• follow safety and participant-rights protocols
• attend required meetings and training.
