What you'll do

• Perform sheet metal repairs and installations on maritime vessels
• read and interpret drawings, sketches, and specifications
• prepare safe work areas
• inspect work sites and submit condition reports
• measure, lay out, remove, fabricate, and install structures and equipment
• use hand and power tools and fabrication machines
• weld, solder, bolt, rivet, or otherwise join components
• comply with OSHA and shipyard safety practices
• document work and maintain a clean worksite.
