Stormwater Maintenance Technician

The Stormwater Maintenance Technician is an onsite, full-time position in Stockbridge, GA. Compensation is not specified. The role supports the City of Stockbridge’s stormwater management program and its MS4 and NPDES permit compliance. The technician inspects and maintains stormwater infrastructure, investigates drainage concerns and potential illicit discharges, and assists with water quality monitoring. Field findings, maintenance records, and coordination with city departments, property owners, contractors, HOAs, and the public help the City address stormwater issues and maintain its infrastructure.

What you'll do

• Inspect outfalls, detention and retention facilities, catch basins, junction boxes, yard inlets, and other stormwater infrastructure
• identify deficiencies and coordinate repairs
• assist with MS4 and NPDES compliance
• investigate illicit discharge and drainage complaints
• conduct field inspections and stormwater runoff sampling and testing
• assist with remediation
• communicate with property owners and the public
• operate and maintain vehicles and equipment
• perform preventive maintenance and infrastructure repairs
• prepare inspection reports, notices, maps, correspondence, and records
• prioritize and schedule work.
