What you'll do

• Provide professional nursing care for residents of all ages in long term care.
• Demonstrate knowledge of nursing principles and age-appropriate care.
• Administer medications or treatments as ordered.
• Document resident interactions and outcomes.
• Communicate resident's changing condition to charge nurse.
• Perform testing to evaluate resident status.
• Recognize problems, recommend solutions, and respond effectively in emergent situations.
• Provide technical support to healthcare professionals.
• Counsel residents and families on treatment plans.
• Develop self-care programs.

What we're looking for

Education

Graduate from an accredited practical nursing program as a Licensed Practical Nurse. Associate degree in practical nursing is preferred.

Experience

Minimum of 400 hours of experience as LPN at another facility preferred.
